Our Red Coffee Maker Reviews
If you want to make a bold statement in your kitchen, then maybe add a red coffee maker to it. Red coffee makers add life to a rather dull-looking kitchen, aside from serving the basic purpose of giving you an aromatic warm beverage each time you wake up or at any part of the day. So with that note, we feature FOUR of the top-rated red coffee makers in the market today to help you choose the right one for your needs.
Cuisinart DCC-1200RT 12-Cup Coffeemaker, Stainless Steel/Red
When it comes to coffee makers, Cuisinart is one of the few names out there that's a crowd favorite. It has been around since 1971, and its long history and remarkable reputation from consumers are among the reasons why it continues to be an excellent choice for a coffee maker. In particular, the DCC-1200RT Cuisinart coffee maker model is not to be ignored. It's loaded with smart features that designed to give users the finest experience in preparing their coffee.
What We Love
Let's begin by saying that this coffee maker is visually appealing. At first glance, it exudes a chic and modern vibe that complements any interior design. There is more metal to this machine than plastic, which we think is a remarkable thing.
Although some parts are made of plastic, these feel solid, well-built, and far from being cheap-looking. It does not fall short of good looks, with a smooth brushed metal finish, but that's not all this coffee maker is about.
This 12-cup carafe should suffice when you have guests coming over, and you don't want to make several batches of coffee. To make things easier for you, there's a brew pause feature that allows you to savor your cuppa even before brewing is over. There is also the keep-warm temperature control, which you can adjust according to your preference.
Plus, with the programmable auto shut off, your coffee making experience just got more convenient and much easier. For the most part, the design of this coffee maker is completely sensible all around.
There are no spills each time you pour your coffee, and the lid never flips around. When it's time for clean up, you can even remove the lid to wash this easily.
We also appreciate the accessibility of the clock, dials, and buttons on the machine. These are a breeze to use because of their strategic locations. You won't ever find yourself searching aimlessly for the right button. What's more, the markings remain as legible and clear as when you first purchase the machine, which we think is a huge plus point.
Self Cleaning Feature
The feature that we really like about the Cuisinart is the self cleaning feature. Here is how it works:
- There is a self cleaning light on the Cuisinart DCC 1200 coffee maker. When that comes on, it is telling your that there is too much calcium buildup and it is time for the self cleaning feature.
- Now you want to fill the coffee reservoir with 1/3 vinegar and 2/3 water.
- Next, press the Self Clean button
- When the Self Clean button glows, you turn the coffee maker ON. The coffee maker is in self cleaning mode.
- One cycle of this should do the trick, but coffee makers with more calcium buildup may need more.
- When your coffee maker beeps 5 times, it will shut off and the cleaning cycle is complete.
- Turn your coffee maker back on to see if the Self Clean light is still lit. If it is, you may have to do another cleaning cycle. If it is not lit, run one cycle of water only through the coffee maker and you should be ready for coffee!

As we have said earlier, the buttons are pretty much easy to find and use. However, the two dials found on the front can be a bit of a challenge to read at first. There are white lines on these dials, designed to represent arrows. You'll have to lean closely to find which dial you need to turn, but you'll get the hang of it over time.
The left dial is for setting the clock and indicating the length of time you want the machine to stay on before it automatically turns off. On the other hand, the right dial sets the temperature whether it is low, medium, or high.
The good thing about this minor dial-related dilemma is that they hardly turn easily. So, there's a slim chance for you to switch the wrong dial with a brush of your hand or your cup.
When it comes to the aesthetics, size, functionality, and ease of use, the Cuisinart DCC-1200RT 12-Cup Coffeemaker deserves a nod of approval. We love the fact that it can make up to 12 cups of coffee, there are no spills or leaks, and it takes seconds to clean the different removable parts of the machine. Just get yourself familiar with the two dials, and you're all good.
Keurig K55 Single Serve Programmable K-Cup Pod Coffee Maker Rhubarb
Another eye-catchy red coffee maker that's worth a second look is this nifty machine by Keurig. This one also falls into our red Keurig category. It lets you customize your beverage, which is perfect if you're leaning towards a super strong or milder brew. Clean up is not a pain and activating the buttons is fuss-free. With its advanced design and elegant looks, it's a great addition to any coffee lover's kitchen.
What We Love
When you unbox this machine, you'll find everything you need to start making your gourmet coffee. There are 4 K-cup pods included, as well as 2 water filters and filter handle, and a 48-ounce water reservoir that's large enough for brewing more than 6 cups.
There's not much of a learning curve involved in using this coffee maker for the first time. Just insert the pod, choose your preferred brew size, and start brewing to get your rich-tasting beverage in less than a minute.
When you dispense hot water, be sure to do so without a pod by opening and closing the handle of the brewer. Then, select the brew size you need, and the rest operate like clockwork with every press of the right button!
Another thing we think is quite smart about this machine is the auto-off feature. If you're not using your brewer after being idle for 2 hours, it turns off automatically.
This is an excellent addition to the machine as it helps save energy. Sure, it's a little longer than the standard recommendation of EnergyStar, which is 30 minutes to an hour, but this is still a nice feature you'll love about this unit.
Everything about this unit works as expected – efficient and quick process of making coffee (under a minute), auto shut-off, and fail-proof button controls. Perhaps the only thing that may be considered a limitation to this unit is the noise it produces as it brews your coffee.
But come to think of it, that's typical with any coffee maker. As long as it's not loud enough to wake the entire household up (and we're talking about this particular unit), it shouldn't be a deal-breaker at all.

The combination of the smart button controls, auto shut off feature, and the spacious water reservoir all work well in giving you a superb coffee making experience. Overall, we think the Keurig K55 K-Cup Pod Coffee Maker is a keeper.

How would you like to make your very own full-bodied cup of coffee in a matter of seconds? With this Cuisinart 12-cup programmable coffee maker, it's entirely possible! The CHW-12R Cuisinart coffee maker is every coffee lover's dream come true with its stunning aesthetics, drip-free spout, and advanced features worth looking into.
What We Love
This unit makes it easy for anyone to make coffee and clean up the mess afterwards. It's fully automatic, equipped with a self-cleaning function, auto-off and auto-on, and a 1 to 4-cup setting for your favorite brew.
There's also a 54-ounce water reservoir that's plenty big enough for making several cups of coffee. Quite interestingly, there is a separate hot water system with its own power switch. It operates either at the same time as the unit or independently, depending on your preference.
To make sure your coffee remains at the ideal temperature, this machine as a heater plate with the low, medium, and high settings. This means that every time you take a sip of your coffee, the temperature is just perfect.
There are indicator lights built into the unit to make things much easier for you. The hot water system has an indicator light that turns on once you need to add water, or when your water is ready.
You can also find another light that lets you know if it's time for cleaning up the machine. Little things such as the sturdy and solid lid, adjustable auto-off setting, and self-cleaning all add up every user's positive overall experience in using this coffee maker.

We feel that the hot water system's safety lock may be rather easy for anyone to slide it to the left, which can be a problem. The water reservoir may also require a certain technique to fill it up with water, and it may be easier to do so by using a slimmer bottle.
With a really huge water reservoir, a hot water on demand system, indicator lights, and full automatic functions, Cuisinart nails it again in giving other coffee maker brands a run for their money. The Cuisinart CHW-12R is one solid investment worth making, yet without breaking the bank.
Moccamaster KBG 741 10-Cup Coffee Brewer with Glass Carafe, Red Metallic
From start to finish, making coffee using this unit is a breeze – perfect for those who are always on the go. The Moccamaster KBG 741 comes in a bright red metallic exterior that will illuminate your countertop while giving to the finest experience each time you want to enjoy a good cup of coffee.
What We Love
Technivorm-Moccamaster has been around since 1964, and it remains as one of the top names of coffee maker brands. In fact, all products by this brand are handmade in Netherlands to maintain the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction. The brand is also certified by specialty coffee associations both in Europe and America, and it holds a distinction from the European Coffee Brewing Center.
However, these labels don't mean a thing unless the machine performs as expected – and you'll be pleased to know that it does the job just the way you want it. This machine can brew a full carafe in as fast as 6 minutes, at a consistent temperature of 196 to 205 degrees Fahrenheit.
There's even a pulse action, so the coffee grounds can release their rich flavor and aroma during the extraction process. If you want to make sure your cup of coffee maintains your desired temperature, then this is what the hot plate element is for. This feature is auto-adjusting, and it keeps the holding temperature between 176 to 185 degrees. After 100 minutes, this component shuts off to save energy.
The glass carafe has a drip-free feature, so there's no mess whenever you make your coffee. In some areas of the unit that has plastic in them, you can be sure that it's durable and not a risk to your health.
The company ensures its consumers that the plastic they use is BPA-free, not to mention their exceptional quality.

Only one thing to consider as a "limitation" of this unit – the water reservoir's design. The top part has a metal portion intended to cover the drain where your coffee drips into the heating chamber. This area tends to collect some water, so be sure to keep it clean to avoid any kind of dirt accumulating in it.
Handmade to perfection, high-quality materials and construction, plus a quick brewing function – what more can you ask for? The sensible design and superior performance of the Moccamaster KBG 741 coffee maker gives you the best value for your dollar.
We hope that you enjoyed our reviews of red coffee makers and we also hope that it helped in your purchasing decision. Thanks for stopping by!!
